Victor was born March 23, 1929 in El Campo, TX and passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at the age of 81. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, as well as the founder of the El Taquito Cafe in Dallas. He is survived by wife Josephine Martinez; daughters, Nancy Martinez, Mary Martinez, Janie Ramsey and Esther Briones; sons, Victor Martinez Jr., Henry Martinez and Richard A. Martinez; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Victor was preceded in death by his son Jesse A. Martinez. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8:30 PM, with recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 PM, Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home in Dallas. The Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM, Friday, December 17, 2010 at St. Edward Catholic Church, 4007 Elm Street, Dallas 75226. Interment at Oakland Cemetery in Dallas.
