

Virginia Ann Hubbard Bradford was born in Wolfe City, Texas on December 17, 1944 to loving parents, H. J. Hubbard and Bernice Herron Leftridge. Both parents preceded her in death. Virginia accepted Christ at an early age and spent her primary years in Wolfe City, Texas. She graduated Salutatorian of her class at St. Paul High School in Neylandville, Texas. In addition to her scholastic accomplishments, Virginia was a star athlete. She led the Panthers to several basketball championships during her high school years. It was at St. Paul that Virginia met Fred Harold Bradford, the love of her life. They united in holy matrimony on June 19, 1961 and to this union three children were born: Fred Jr., Marcus and Shelia.
Virginia and her family made Dallas their home from the early sixties. She became a member of Solid Rock First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas, under the leadership of Pastor George H. Scales. For the past 56 years she built an unprecedented legacy as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and humanitarian that gave special, loving time and attention to relatives, friends and many citizens throughout the metroplex. Due to the tragic death of her son, Fred Jr., Virginia joined "Mothers Against Police Brutality" in 2013. She actively supported the group until her death. Both sons, Fred Jr. and Marcus, along with two brothers, Charles Burnett and Harold Hubbard preceded her in death.
Virginia leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Fred Bradford Sr.; daughter, Shelia (John) Ewing of DeSoto, Texas; four grandchildren, Darius, Maronda, Arielle (Corey) and John Jr.; two sisters, Gwendolyn (Larry) Daniels of Garland, Texas and Jerline (Avery) Mason of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Billy (Patricia) Herron of Wolfe City, Texas, Vernon Leftridge of Dallas, Texas and Larry (Regina) Leftridge of DeSoto, Texas. She also leaves 12 great grandchildren; a special Sister-n-Law, Mrs. Jean Hall; close friend, Ms. Freddie Carson; adopted families, the Hammonds and Gatlins; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
