Virginia C Hagan

Virginia (Ginny) Carol Friend Hagan was born December 22, 1921 to Anna Marie Marks and Arthur William Friend in Milwaukee WI. She resided in Whitefish Bay and Rockford IL. She had one brother Robert Friend and one sister, LaVerne Krieger, now deceased. Virgina graduated from Rockford High School in 1939. She attended DePaw University in Greencastle IN. Virginia married Edward Emmett Hagan (Ed) on January 4, 1945, in Silver Spring MD. Ginny followed Ed to all of his assignments; Dallas, Tx, Ruston LA, Houston TX, Natchez MS, Perth West Australia, Maracaibo Venezuela and Midland, TX. Ed and Ginny are survived by their three children; Peggy Wiseman and husband Jerry of Hico, TX. Cathy Ramage of Hico, TX and Michael Hagan and wife Kate of Hong Kong. She is the loving Grandmother of Jane Black of Hico Texas, Annie Ramage, Denton, TX, Tina O’Jibway of Austin, TX, Halle Hagan of Washington D.C. and Abbey Hagan of Austin, TX. Great Grandmother of Garrett Turner and Brady Black both of Hico, TX. Ginny was a Lifetime Member of the Pilgrimage Garden Club in Natchez, MS. She was a long time member of the Petroleum Wives Club and Book Club. She was also a member of the Hanover Book club and the All Saints Bridge Club. She volunteered for many years for Meals on Wheels, however her greatest love was her husband and children. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, Jan 15, 2015, 2PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery North Chapel. Visitation will be one hour before the service at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, TX 75220.
