

Virginia was born December 6,1927 in the small west Texas town of Delwin to Rudoloph and Georgia Horton. She is a middle child with two older brothers RM and Bobby Horton, and two younger sisters Flora Jaggers and Ida Tidwell all of whom preceded her in death.
On May 6,1950, Virginia married Ernest Richard Stull whom she met while they were attending college. They were married for 43 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest R. Stull, and son- in-law Tim Smart.
Virginia is survived by her three children; Richard Stull (Judy) Janine Smart, and Ernest Stull (Leslie). Five grandchildren, Jason Smart (Amber), Ginger Sorrels (Tim), Kenneth Stull (Tracy), Lily Stull, Trevor Stull (Vaish), seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Virginia retired from teaching school in Irving in 1987.
Virginia spent her retirement years enjoying several hobbies that include sewing, crocheting, knitting, genealogy and gardening. Virginia was a member of White Oak Chapter NSDAR.
During her retirement, Virginia volunteered at her church, Belt Line Road Church of Christ, and with the Irving Senior Center. She also was a mall walker and walked 4 miles a day. She was also active in a local Take off Pounds Sensibility (TOPS) group for many years.
Virginia passed away Saturday February 14,2026 at the Mansfield Medical Lodge, Mansfield, Texas.
