Wanda Pearl Hartoon

Wanda Manwell Hartoon, born November 6, 1924 in Jones, Oklahoma, died December 4, 2013 in Dallas Texas. She was 89. Wanda was a graduate of Baylor School of Nursing. She spent her career of 40 years employed by Baylor University Medical Center as R.N., Floor Supervisor and Assistant Director of Nursing. Wanda and James "Bud" Hartoon of Maud Oklahoma were married on July 6, 1945. The loving couple were married 43 years. Wanda and Bud both enjoyed camping, fishing, & traveling in their Airstream trailer. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Wanda was a founding member of Casa View Baptist Church and served faithfully all of her life. She will be missed by all who knew her. Wanda is preceded in death by her husband "Bud" and her parents Ralph and Winifred Manwell of Jones, Oklahoma. Survived by daughters, Cheryl Good and husband Rusty of Houston, Texas, Paula Huskey and husband Gene of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Dustin Newcomb of San Marcos, Texas, Christy Perez and husband Jeff of Houston Texas, Tim Huskey and wife Jamie of Tyler, Texas, Chris Huskey and wife Alexa of New York City, New York, Jonathan Huskey and wife Mandy of Alexandria, Virginia; great- grandchildren, Brynn, Parker & Rowan Huskey of Tyler, Texas, James & Sawyer Huskey of Alexandria, Virginia, Caleb Perez of Houston Texas, Dean Newcomb of San Marcos, Texas; brothers and sisters, Gayle Hoagg and husband Bill of Jones, Oklahoma, Norma Glazier of Garland, Texas, Robert Manwell of Jones, Oklahoma, Karen Lennox of Edmond, Oklahoma, Harold Manwell and wife Rosalie of Harrah, Oklahoma, Dean Manwell and wife Andrea of Choctaw, Oklahoma. Services will be held Monday, December 9, 2:00 pm, Sparkman Funeral Home, 1029 S. Greenville Ave. followed by burial at Restland Cemetery.
