William L. Haverfield, 84, passed away September 10, 2010 in Dallas. Born November 18, 1925 in Corpus Christi, William served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. After graduating from University of Houston, William worked for Bristol-Meyers Pharmaceuticals for 40 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Sarah Haverfield; daughter, Melody Gardner; grandsons, David and Josh Schneer; and his faithful dog, Isabelle. He will be remembered fondly by many who loved and knew him. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at the Sparkman Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the Humane Society of North Texas, in honor of his deep love of animals or to Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital.
