April 12, 1962-June 22, 2010
William Floyd “Billy” Hill III left us suddenly on June 22, the victim of a tragic automobile accident. Our dad, Billy, was devoted to his family and his friends, but most of all, was always eager to help anyone in need. He had a big heart and always put others in front of his own needs. A native Dallasite and 1980 graduate of Lake Highlands High School, Billy loved his sports and his music. The Texas Rangers baseball team and the Beatles ranked high on his list of loves, but not as high as his surviving children, Chelsea, 20, and Christopher, 19, of Little Elm. He is also survived by his sister, Susan Royer, of Frisco, along with her husband Mike and nieces Brooke and Kristen, and a brother, Mike, of Dallas, along with his wife, Susan and nephew, Thomas. He is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles and cousins, whom he enjoyed reminiscing with greatly. Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Marian Hill. In addition to being just a great guy, Billy was a master griller and a great cook. He held management positions with United Artists and also worked at Texas Instruments and for the Dollar Tree. He was also a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 799.
