

Yolanda Adames Najera, a generous, faithful, kind-hearted, selfless, and thoughtful soul, passed away on December 19, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on November 14, 1952, Yolanda was a long-time resident of Dallas, Texas.
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Yolanda grew up on Noble Street and attended Ben Milam Elementary School, Alex W. Spence Jr. High School, and North Dallas High School, where she was a majorette and played the clarinet.
Yolanda had a successful career as an accountant for the Presbyterian Foundation, retiring in 2017. In retirement, she remained a full-time grandparent and enjoyed traveling with her husband.
In 1971, Yolanda married David R. Najera. Together, they raised four children: daughters Frances, born in 1972, and Natalie, born in 1975; and sons David Jr., born in 1978, and Frank, born in 1980. She was a loving grandmother to granddaughters Celeste, Destiney, and Selena, and grandsons Christian and Jonathan. Her siblings include: Henry D. Adames (deceased), Rafael Adames, David Adames, Rosie Padron, Melinda Bernal, and Pete D. Adames. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Pedro Hernandez Adames and Herminia Duran Adames and her brother Henry D. Adames.
Yolanda was a dedicated member of St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Pius, and St. Joseph. She loved dancing and attending her grandchildren's activities, always encouraging and supporting their education, hobbies, and interests. Her involvement in the community included participation in St. Ann's Friends of Little Mexico and the Garland Senior Center.
Her personal legacy is marked by her deep love for her family and her enjoyment in friendships and extended family. Yolanda's life was enriched by the kindness and support of those around her, including niece Anna Gonzalez for her willingness to help, son Dave for his Wednesday night phone calls, and Dave and Perla for their faithful weekend visits.
A visitation will take place on December 30, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm at Calvary Hill Main Mausoleum North Chapel, located at 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, Texas, 75220. A Rosary will follow at 12:30 pm, and the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm at the same location. Interment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
Yolanda will be remembered for her heartfelt expression, "Be careful, I Love You." Her presence in the lives of her family and friends will be dearly missed.
We will miss Yolanda's thoughtful phone calls, text messages and cards via snail mail. We will miss her constant presence in our lives and her unconditional love.
