

Anna was born to Ignatz and Olga Chorny on December 10, 1924, the fifth of nine children. She was raised in New York City, a city she loved her entire life. She graduated from Morris High School in the Bronx in 1942 and went to work as a key punch operator. She was a medical assistant at various medical practices in the Bronx until her retirement in 1991.
Anna was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She wed Charles Krieg in 1950 and they were together for 53 years, until Charles’ death. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. Anna enjoyed opera, theater, and dancing with her husband, Charlie. She was an avid walker into her 90’s, a tireless shopper, and an exceptional ironer.
She is survived by her three children: Michael, Damian and his wife Louise, Stephanie and her husband Jim; her five grandchildren: Rachel, Stephanie, Erik, Emily and Daniel; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021 at St. Joseph Church, Danbury with the Rev. Samuel V. Scott, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
There are no calling hours.
