Anna was born in Corleto Perticara, Italy, a daughter of the late Donato “Tony” Sagaria and Rocchina (Cafarella) Sagaria. She immigrated to Danbury in 1955.
In her early years she was employed by Barden Corporation. She married the love of her life, Joseph, in 1961 raising three sons and later moving to Sherman, CT. Later in life she was employed by Country Gardens and Halas Farm Market; she thoroughly enjoyed working at both.
Anna’s biggest enjoyment in life were family, friends, cooking and flowers.
In addition to her husband and parents, Anna was predeceased by two brothers: Rocco Sagaria and Donato Sagaria Jr.
Anna is survived by 3 sons: Joseph (Pamela), Danny (Tera) and Anthony (Debbie); her two sisters: Maria Favreau and Rose Beninato; and 6 grandchildren: Joseph (Lexi), Brianna, Anthony, Domenico, Nicolena and Giavanna.
A special thanks to Alan and Jane Liner who had a special place in Anna’s heart.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 21 Brush Hill Rd., New Fairfield, CT with the Rev. Robert Wolfe, Pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, 71 Lake Ave. Ext., Danbury, CT.
Friends will be received from 10:00am to 11:00am on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at St. Edward Church, 21 Brush Hill Rd., New Fairfield, CT.
