

Antoinette M. Brown (Toni), age 80, of New Fairfield, joined God in Heaven on March 8, 2021. She was the wife of the late Thomas K. (T.K.) Brown, who predeceased her in June of 2020 after 59 years of marriage.
She was born in Danbury on January 24, 1941 to the late Carlo and Marie (Petriello) Ross.
Antoinette attended kindergarten at Balmforth Avenue School, attended St. Joseph School, and graduated from Danbury High School in 1959 where she was a member of the Theta Iota Sorority and a cheerleader.
After school, she worked part-time at the Frank H. Lee Hat Company, Lofts Candy Store on Main Street, The Great Danbury Fair every year, and at the Candlewood Arena that was owned by her parents. Antoinette was an avid roller-skater and skated at the Candlewood Arena.
She was a member of the Candlewood Arena Roller Skating Club and skated in numerous competitions in New England and the National Championships in Washington D.C. She was recognized as a skating champion with numerous awards and medals.
Upon graduation, Antoinette embarked on a professional career as a secretary at the Barden Corporation and then worked at the Fahnestock Company. She married Thomas on April 22, 1961 and moved to New Fairfield.
Antoinette was a longtime member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Danbury and avid supporter of various causes including the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, New Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department, and the Catholic War Veterans.
Besides her husband and parents, Antoinette was predeceased by her in-laws, Kenneth F. and Anna (Kruszynski) Brown.
Antoinette is survived by daughters: Pamela Brown, of Danbury; and Tracy Brown; and grandchildren, Alexis Koukos, Thea, Tyra, and Tyrell Lane; and five great-grandchildren; and sister and nephew and his family.
Antoinette was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at St Peter's Cemetery on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 12pm. Due to the cemetery regulations and state guidelines, all attending must observe social distancing. A private service will take place at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Danbury.
