

Antonio was born on December 8, 1931 in Gouveia, Portugal to his parents, the late Albano Dias and Teresa DeJesus Cipriano. He came to America with his wife and family on May 1, 1967 and settled in Danbury.
Antonio worked as a construction laborer and was a 50 year member of the Connecticut Laborer's local union 675 (now local 230). He worked for such companies as Union Carbide, Morganti and many others.
He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. He was a Benfica soccer fan. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He loved his girls, son in-law, grandsons and would have done anything for them.
He is survived by his two daughters: Teresa Cipriano of Danbury, and Maria Ferreira and her husband, Jaime Ferreira, of Danbury; his three grandsons: Phillip, Bryan and Kevin; brother and sister-in-law: Manuel and Lucille Cipriano of Danbury; along with many nieces and nephews here in Danbury and Portugal.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 at 10:30 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Danbury. Interment will be in St. Peter Mausoleum at the family's convenience.
Friends will be received on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.
