Cory J. Harty

Cory was born in Danbury, CT, a son of the late Robert Harty and Doreen (Gieralt) Harty. He attended schooling in Danbury and was a 1989 graduate of Henry Abbott Regional Vocational-Technical School.

As a commercially licensed driver, Cory worked many years for O&G delivering construction supplies around the state of Connecticut. In the winter, he served on-call delivering salt. Most recently, Cory was a driver for Fresh Cut Property Maintenance, LLC owned and operated by friend and neighbor, Mike Keeler. In his free time, Cory enjoyed woodworking, watching and attending Nascar, and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He was a former member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters union and his local Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge # 1373.

Cory was predeceased by father, Robert Harty; mother, Doreen Harty; and a brother, Chris Harty.

Survivors include his brother, Kelly Harty and wife, Stacie Harty; and nieces: Ruby and Nora Harty.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at St. Peter Cemetery (sec 23), Danbury at 11:30am on Saturday, July 30, 2022. Reception immediately to follow at Chuck’s Steak House at 20 Segar St., Danbury.

Friends will be received from 4pm-7pm on Friday, July 29, 2022 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
