Danny R. ”Doc” Inman, 63, passed away peacefully in his home on April 16, 2021 after a short battle with liver cancer. He was born September 30, 1957, in Ithaca, NY; the son of Richard B. Inman and M. Joyce Ludlam Inman.
Danny graduated from Devry Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA in 1978. He married the love of his life, Cheryl M. Jacobs on July 30, 1994.
He worked for IBM for 20+ years in Endicott, NY & Rochester, MN. After returning to his hometown, he worked for Ithaco/UTC for 16+ years.
A music lover (specifically vinyl) an original Trekkie, and an Atlanta Braves fan. He loved being outdoors, especially in his hometown of “gorges” Ithaca, NY. He was an avid family man with a wonderful sense of humor.
He was predeceased by his parents. Survived by his wife, Cheryl; their child Brook RP Inman of Danbury, CT; sister, Faye (James) Hacker of Moravia, NY; niece, Sara Herman of Moravia, NY; nephew, Chris Hacker of Auburn, NY; and great-nephew, Levi Herman of Moravia, NY; and a large extended family.
The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date. Donations can be made in his memory; to two wonderful organizations that were dear to him and the family; Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes in Ithaca, NY and RVNAhealth in Ridgefield, CT.
