Deborah J. Carrizzo

Debbie was born at Danbury Hospital on September 17, 1949 to Arthur and Loretta (Slaving) Jones. She graduated from Bethel High School in 1967. She attended Western Connecticut State University, majoring in English. Debbie met her husband Ron 60 years ago at a school dance. They have been together ever since and married on September 6, 1969.

Debbie is survived by her children Jason (Holly), Jonathan, Scott (Shannon) and Susan Carrizzo. She is also survived by her grandchildren Emily, Elizabeth, Ellie, Luke and Chloe. In addition, she is survived by her only sibling, Sandra Jones, and her nephew Drew Culhane. She leaves behind many cousins.

Debbie was the epitome of love and kindness. She was a Paraprofessional for both the Bethel and Danbury Boards of Education. Her love of teaching children was her calling.

There aren't enough words in the world to say how much you mean to your family. Your children cannot imagine what it was like to put up with all our antics throughout the years but you did it with grace and patience.

There was no one like you and how lucky we all were to have been blessed with the gift of you.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at St. Gregory Church. Great Plain Rd., Danbury, CT.
