Doretta was born on May 19, 1958, in the Bronx, NY to Rudolph and Marie Memola.
In 1977, Doretta married the love of her life, Anthony, and together they built an amazing family, having three children, Anthony, Joseph and Valerie. Doretta was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and cherished matriarch of her family. She was the heart of her family that held generations together. Of all the titles she carried in life, her greatest joy was being “Mimi” to her 7 beloved grandchildren. They were her world. Every day, every story, every plan, revolved around them. She spent her days attending games and school events celebrating their achievements, offering encouragement and loving them unconditionally. Her home was a place of laughter, warmth, and lots of hugs, where each grandchild knew they were deeply treasured. Her love was constant, her generosity was boundless and her faith in her family unwavering. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her legacy will live on via the values she has instilled in the generations she raised. Love of family, kindness, resilience and devotion are the values that will live with her children and grandchildren always.
Doretta is survived by her husband Anthony, her children Anthony (Denise) Olivet, Joseph (Stefania) Olivet and Valerie (Richard) Chirdo. Her seven grandchildren, Isabella, Anthony, Joseph, Richard, Vincent, Gianna and Colette will cherish their Mimi forever.
Her family will receive visitors on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 3 – 5 PM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 22 at 10:30 AM at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 21 Brush Hill Rd., New Fairfield.
