
Earl C. Ireland, Jr. of Woodside, Queens, NY died Thursday after being stricken ill at his home. Earl was born in Danbury on August 28, 1958, son of Bette-Anne Coffey Ireland of Danbury and the late Earl C. Ireland Sr.
He attended schools in New Fairfield and Bethel, graduating in 1976 from Bethel High School. He received his BS in Business Administration from University of South Florida. Earl was most currently associated with the Quality Inn in Maspeth, New York. A quiet man who loved animals, Earl lived in St. Petersburg, Florida before moving to Queens.
Besides his mother, survivors include his brother, Gregory M. Ireland and his wife, Deborah, niece and goddaughter, Jessica Ireland, nephews, Justin and Scott Ireland, aunt, Barbara Schirmer, and uncle, Alan Schirmer, all of Danbury. He is also survived by his aunt, Cecilia Ireland, of Bergenfield, New Jersey, and several cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10am at St. James Church, Danbury. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. Contributions in Earl’s memory may be made to D.A.W.S., 147 Grassy Plain St., Bethel, CT, 06801.
