Elizabeth Eakin of New Fairfield CT passed away peacefully at her home on Monday January 22, 2024.

“Bette” was born and raised in Yonkers, NY by her Irish Catholic parents, James and Elizabeth (Golden) Nealy along with her two brothers, Jim and Tommy. She worked as a nurse and moved up in various positions spanning her 50+ year career.

In 1966 she met and married her husband, Earl, moved to New Fairfield, had a little family, made beautiful memories and enjoyed over 48 years together until his passing in 2015.

Bette is survived by her two children: Matthew Eakin; and Kate Martinson, her son-in-law, Rich, and her four grandchildren: Sarah, Billy, Kevin and Lynae.

She was so loved and will be so terribly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Friday, Jan. 26, 2024 at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield, CT. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, New Fairfield, CT.

Friends will be received from 4:00pm - 7:00pm on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.
