Elizabeth M. McCarthy

Elizabeth was born in New York City, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Servansky) Magazzi. She attended Danbury schools and recently retired from DRS Technologies after 28 years of service. Elizabeth loved her trips to the casino and vacations on Cape Cod with her family. She also enjoyed working in the yard, playing golf and her NY Giants. Elizabeth also had many friendships which she cherished, her family and friends meant the world to her, she had a compassion for others that was so special and will be missed dearly.

Elizabeth is survived by her beloved son Joseph McCarthy and his wife Tracy of Danbury, her brother Martin Magazzi and his wife Elizabeth of Watertown, her brother Michael Magazzi and his fiancé Cindy Lubrico of Danbury, her two faithful companions Buddy and Stella and several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored. She was predeceased by her brothers Joseph Magazzi and Dennis Magazzi.

A gathering of family and friends will take place at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Sunday, February 25 from 1:00-4:00pm, with a prayer service at 3:30pm. Cremation arangements will take place at the direction of the family.
