Esther was born in New Canaan, daughter of the late Stephen and Paulina Mostowy. She was a graduate of Stamford High School. She blessed her family with her great meals, seamstress skills and her never ending energy as a super grandma.
She is survived by her son Richard Bangs and wife Mary Beth, of Bethel, her daughter Kimberly Ruhnke and husband John, of Norwalk and her daughter Rebecca Bangs, of Bethel, her sister Naomi Palmer of Stamford, her brothers Daniel Mostowy of Vero Beach, FL, Sam Mostowy of Fairfield and Richard Mostowy of Stratford and her six beloved grandchildren: Brittany, Zachary and Victoria Bangs and Megan, Emily and Ryan Ruhnke. She was predeceased by ten brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be held at the Christ the Shepard Presbyterian Church, 52 Stadley Rough Rd., Danbury, on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
