Fernando Silva Marques

Fernando Silva Marques, age 61 of Danbury, died on Sunday January 21st at Yale New Haven Hospital following a short illness. He was the husband of Janaina (Andrade) Marques. Fernando was born July 26, 1956 in Mozambique, Africa, the son of Maria (Silva) Marques of Danbury, and the late Antonio Miguel Marques. He had been a resident of Danbury for the past 30 years, and was a 30 year employee of DRS Technologies of Danbury, where he worked as a maintenance mechanic.

In addition to his wife Janaina of 14 years and his mother Maria, Fernando is survived by his children: Fernando M. Marques, Arturo G. Marques, and Monica Marques, all of Mozambique, Africa, one brother, Antonio M. Marques of Ormond Beach, FL, one sister, Maria Fatima Marques of New Milford, four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Saturday January 27th at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Danbury. Cremation arrangements will be private and at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street Danbury on Friday January 26th from 5 thru 7pm.
