He was born on September 6, 1942, in New Canaan, CT and moved to Danbury in his teen years. He served in the US Army. After being discharged, he worked as a glazier and school bus driver, and was a volunteer firefighter. He was an avid bowler in his younger years.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years Patricia and a son Gerald Jr. He is survived by his daughters Suzanne Metviner (David) and Laura Glen (Pete) grandchildren Skyler and Sierra Metviner, and Riley and Owen Glen all of Brookfield and granddaughter Kayleigh Zaloga and great grandson Lucien Zaloga, a brother Bill of Ft Worth, Texas, sister-in-law Pam Lewis of Sandy Hook and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be held Friday May 9th from 4-6 pm at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street Danbury.
