Gloria G. Edwards

In 1951, she moved with her parents to Oak Park, IL. After completing High School, she became a nursing student.

Upon graduation, she was employed at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in the Bronzeville Neighborhood of Chicago,IL.

She later returned to Connecticut to be closer to family. She was employed by Gilbert & Bennett in Georgetown, CT, as the company nurse until her retirement.

Gloria leaves behind her sister, Rosina Alling of Bethel. Nephews: William (Mary Ellen) Alling of Quaker Hill, CT; and Richard Alling of Pensacola, FL. Nieces: Cheryl (Gene) Pacific of Bethel, CT; and Darlene (Rainer) Lung of Brookfield, CT. Several great nieces & nephews as well as great-great nieces & nephews. Also, many close friends that were very dear to her.

She was a lover of all those furry & four-legged, but mostly her rescued cat, Gary.

Due to Covid19 restrictions, services will be private.

Internment will take place in St. Mary Cemetery Bethel, CT at the convenience of the family.
