beloved wife of Thomas A. Sorensen,
passed away at Bethel Healthcare Center,
on Sunday, March 11, 2012.
Joanne was born in Manchester, daughter of Robert and Vera Averill, of East Hartford. She graduated from high school in East Hartford and had attended WESCONN. She worked as a Quality Control Inspector for the Eaton Company and was a member of the Elks Lodge of Danbury.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her son Dwaine Deicke and wife Judy of Jacksonville, FL, a step-son Greg Sorensen and wife Jodi of Niantic, a step-daughter Erika Sorensen and fiancé Chris Dalo of Brookfield, her sister Lisa Burnat and husband David of Farmington and four grandchildren: Amanda, Claire,
Adriana and Joseph.
Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
