Joao "John" H. Costa

Joao (John) H. Costa, 69, of Danbury, CT passed away peacefully on September 11th at Danbury Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Portugal on February 26, 1949. He was the son of the late Manuel Costa and Lucinda Henriques.

Joao is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ana Maria Costa, his sons Fernando Costa and his wife Ana, and Daniel Costa and his wife Cristina, his grandchildren Anthony, Kayla, Briana and Jayden. He is also survived by his sister Lurdes Sousa, and her husband Aquiles, brothers Antonio Costa and his wife Olga, Jose Costa and his wife Maria, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Saturday, September 15, from 8:30am-10:30am at Green Funeral, 57 Main Street, Danbury. Funeral Mass will be celebrated immediately following calling hours, 11:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 149 Deer Hill Ave, Danbury. Burial to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Lake Ave Ext, Danbury.
