Joseph Chesto

Joseph Chesto, age 85 of Brookfield passed away peacefully with his family at his side on June 24th at Beacon Brook Health Care Center, Naugatuck. He was the husband of the late Gertrude (Williams) Chesto.

Joseph was born in Danbury February 12, 1929 the son of the late Patrick and Genevieve (Caputo) Chesto. A lifelong Danbury area resident, he was employed as a construction foreman with Local 647 for many years.

Joseph is survived by his son Patrick J. Chesto and his wife Debra of Bethel; his daughter Jo-Ann Chesto-Almeida and her husband Edward of Naugatuck, three grandchildren: Candice Chesto, Ariel Ligowski, and Elijah Ligowski, two great grandchildren: Lexi and Kylin, and several nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his brother Vincent Chesto and his sister Frances Chesto-Reeves.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00am on Saturday July 5th in the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury. Burial will immediately follow in the Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00am until the time of the service.
