Joyce grew up in the Bronx, New York and later graduated from Brewster High School, where she met and later married her husband Robert on June 12, 1955.
Joyce was employed as a secretary in the New Fairfield school system for many years, and later worked at Union Carbide in Danbury.
Joyce had been a resident of New Fairfield for 65 years, living in the home built by her husband. She enjoyed painting, gardening, listening to and playing music, and planning reunions and vacations with family. Joyce had been a member of the original Candlewood League of Artists.
Joyce is survived by her four children: Jo-Ann Osnoe and husband John Ennis of Yardley, PA; Robert J. Osnoe, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Wolfeboro, NH; Lori Coco and husband Robert of Clinton, CT and Gina McGrath and husband John of Encinitas, CA; her grandchildren: Susan, Kyle and his wife Rachel, Logan, Austin and his wife Lacie, and Trevor; her brother Gerald Stanganelli and wife Beverly of Methuen, MA, along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 5:00pm to 6:30pm, with a prayer service taking place in the funeral home at 6:30pm.
The burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
