Judith J. Rothe

Judith J. Rothe, 81, of Brookfield, beloved wife of the late George W. Rothe, Jr., passed away at Danbury Hospital, on Friday morning October 12, 2012, with her daughter and son by her side. Judith was born in Glendale, NY on April 20th, 1931, the daughter of the late Edward and Agnes Goldschagg.

She lived in the Danbury area for many years and graduated from Danbury High School evening division. She was a housewife and also worked in many different occupations before retiring as a sales associate for the JC Penny Company in Danbury, CT. Her greatest joy was traveling with friends and family and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Faith Church, New Milford, CT and attended the Oratory of The Little Way in Gaylordsville, CT.

She is survived by her sons: Stephen Rothe (Joyce Loschiavo) of Black Rock, CT; James Rothe (Jennifer Rothe) of Safety Harbor, FL and her daughter Carole D’Arcangelo (Luigi D'Arcangelo) of Brookfield, CT, as well as eight grandchildren; Brandon Rothe, Jack, Jonathon and James Rothe Jr., Melissa, Rocco, Brianna and Vanessa D'Archangelo.

Funeral services will be held at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Tuesday morning at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, on Tuesday morning between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m.
