

Lena C. Kovacs, of Danbury, wife of the late Frank A. Kovacs, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Glen Hill Care and Rehab Center in Danbury. Lena was born in Danbury, daughter of the late Augustino and Maria Colla. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter Church in Danbury and was a home maker all of her life.
Lena is survived by two sons: Frank A. Kovacs and his wife, Mary, of Woodbury and Deacon Richard P. Kovacs and his wife, Carol, of Danbury; two grandchildren, Kimberly Ann and her husband, Robert Sarnelli, of New Fairfield and Alan John Kovacs and his wife, Tressa, of Danbury; five great grandchildren, Robert Sarnelli, Ashley Nell, Alan John Jr., Logan Paul and Lynae Elizabeth Kovacs, all of Danbury. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Lena was predeceased by four brothers; Ralph, Joseph, Louis, and Philip Colla and three sisters; Sally Shepherd, Rose Font and Sadie Fisher.
The family will receive friends at St Peter Church 104 Main St., Danbury from 9 30 to 10 15 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter Church, Danbury on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 10:30 am. Burial will take place in St. Peter Cemetery. Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
