She was born on March 30, 1930, in Yonkers, NY to the late Dominick and Pierina Attili. A graduate of Commerce High School, Lillian worked as a seamstress upon graduation. She married the love of her life, Michael (Doc) DeLuca. They were sweethearts for 33 years until his passing in 1983. Together, they built a strong, loving family unit.
Leading an honest life of hard work and devotion to her family and friends, Lillian was most happy when surrounded by her family cooking one of their favorite meals, or playing cards at the "clubhouse" with her long-time friends. As evidenced by the outpouring of love and support she received in the final months of her life, the generosity of her time and care for others was unparalleled.
In addition to being predeceased by her loving husband, Lillian is predeceased by her son, John A. DeLuca; her two brothers, Anthony and Vincent Attili; and her grandson, Shawn Johnson.
She is survived by three children, Michael J. DeLuca and his wife, Marian, of Albany, CA; Marie Johnson and her husband, David, of Newtown, CT; and Joanne McGrath and her husband, Tom, of Long Valley, NJ. She received most joy spending time with her 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
