Livio Del Biondo

Livio was born on November 11, 1925, in Yonkers, New York. His parents were the late John and Vincenza (DiTullio) Del Biondo.

He served his country honorably and nobly during World War II in the United States Army and was awarded the Purple Heart for bravery.

Livio was extremely loving and proud of his family. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sarah. His sons: Michael Del Biondo and Roberta of Pawling, NY, Steven Del Biondo and Linda of Hyde Park, NY, Dominick Del Biondo and Ruth Gradoux-Matt of Danbury, CT. His daughter: Diane Thompson and her husband, Bob, of Brookfield, CT. His grandchildren Renee Del Biondo, Nicole Del Biondo, Billy Thompson and his wife Kristen, Daniel Del Biondo, Lauryn Del Biondo, Kayla Del Biondo, Melanie Thompson, and Brendan Del Biondo. His great-granddaughters: Isabella Del Biondo and Aubrey Thompson. He is also survived by his sisters: Edda Turcio of LaGrangeville, NY and Helen Colavito of Fairfield, CT and his brother: Joseph Del Biondo of Spring Valley, NY.

He was predeceased by his brother, Anthony Del Biondo of Spring Valley, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at St. Joseph Church, Danbury, with the Rev. Samuel V. Scott, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, CT.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Livio’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association – CT Chapter, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489.
