Lou was a very proud marine who served in WWII. He was a member of the 542(N) Night Fighters Squadron in Okinawa. That band of brothers got together many years later to hold annual reunions and are all still close. Lou always looked forward to those reunions. Semper Fi. Sgt. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus, the VFM in Georgetown and the Marine Corps League. As well as the Italian-American Club, Amerigo Vespucci in Danbury and the American Legion. He was a lifetime member of the West Redding Fire Department and member of the Connecticut State Police Academy Alumni Association. He was proud of belonging to each and every one of these organizations. Lou enjoyed living in Redding and loved being out in his yard working and talking to all the neighbors that went by. He had a kind spot in his heart for animals and always has a pet or two. Being Italian, Lou enjoyed playing bocce. He will miss his Tuesday night poker group and playing golf with the guys. Lou always had a joke or story to tell anyone he spoke to, as well as a pocket full of peanuts.
