Madeline L. Foley of Danbury, Connecticut, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on February 2, 2026, at the age of 84, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 29, 1941, in the Bronx, New York, where she was raised before moving to Danbury in 1969, a community she proudly called home for more than five decades.
Affectionately known as “Mandy,” Madeline found her greatest joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She cherished traveling with her family and her many close friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever. She also enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, taking long drives, and shopping—simple pleasures that reflected her love of life and family.
Madeline dedicated many years to her career, holding management roles with Colonial Ford, Cumberland Farms, and Boehringer Ingelheim, all while raising her four children—a testament to her strength, work ethic, and unwavering devotion to her family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James J. Foley, and her sister-in-law, Janellen Ascone.
She is survived by her four children: Catherine Saenz (Jim), James B. Foley (Linda), Patricia McFarlin (Steve), and Jeannine Hayden (Geoff).
