
Mary A Light, 94, of Bethel CT, beloved wife of the late H. Coleman Light, passed away peacefully at Saint John Paul II Center on Monday, March 14, 2016. Mary was born in Czechoslovakia, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Remenar) Kreho. She came to the U.S. in 1930 with her parents and settled in Danbury.
She worked for many years at the former Hotel Green in Danbury. Mary was a devout Catholic, who lived for her faith and her family.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Jane Tilford of Bethel, CT, and son Coley Light, and his wife, Sharon, of Bergenfield, NJ; two sister Ann Gallucci of Danbury, and Betty Tahan of Danbury; one brother Michael Kreho, of Danbury; four grandchildren, Timothy Tilford and wife Amy, Jenna Casazza and husband Matthew, Michael Tilford and wife Sonya, and Brandon Light; four great-grandchildren, Emma, Audrey, Sophia, and Vincent. She was predeceased by her sister, Rose Zelenski, and brother, Rudolph Kreho.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at St. Joseph Church, Danbury, with the Rev. David Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. There are no calling hours.
