Michael A Gallo Passed away peacefully on May18, 2025. He was born in Danbury, CT and attended Danbury Schools, graduating from Danbury High School in 1963. He owned several businesses in the Danbury area before relocating to Florida with his wife in 1997.
Michael is survived by his wife of 59 years Karen Gallo, his daughter Jennifer Gallo, son Stephen Gallo (Kelly) and grandson Vincent. He is also survived by his sister Janet Butera and her husband Luis, family member Angela DeRosa, as well as his dearest friends Al and Estrela Aguiar.
Michael was a wine lover who travelled extensively throughout Europe, especially France where he visited many major wine, champagne, and cognac houses. As always, his wife Karen, a linguist, eased the way with language barriers.
Michael’s passion was music, and he was an active member of the Sons of Portugal Band in Danbury, Our Lady of Fatima band in Newark, NJ, The Governor's Foot Guard band in CT, and the Broward Symphonic Band among others in Florida.
Michael was a lover of life. He lived it to the fullest and lived for the moment. He prided himself on saying: “I drank the finest wines and dined in the finest restaurants.” A life well lived. Cheers to you, Big Mike!
