Michael J. Gillotti Jr.

Mike was born in Danbury, CT to the late Michael J., Sr. and Emily Janesky Gillotti. He was a 1953 graduate of Danbury High School and received his BA from Bryant University in 1958.

Mike was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was in data processing for 28 years and in real estate for exactly 30 years.

Mike was a member of the New Fairfield Lions Club for over 50 years where he served as Zone Chairman, President, and Treasurer. He was the Secretary for over 45 years and chair of the Scholarship Committee.

A longtime member of St. Edward Church in New Fairfield, Mike served as an usher for over 30 years. He was also involved with the New Fairfield Boys Baseball as a coach for 10 years and later as a board member for roughly 4 years. He was involved with the Town of New Fairfield as a member of the Democratic Town Committee and a 12-year member of the Board of Assessment Appeals.

Mike is survived by his sons: Michael III and his wife, Elizabeth; David and his wife, Isabel; and Patrick and his wife, Coleen. His grandchildren: Michael Ryan and his wife, Sammi; Joshua and his wife, Sara; Emily; Brendan and his wife, Brittany; Molly Rose; Kevin; Jillian; and Jordan. His great-grandchildren: Mason, Ellie, Jayden and Jameson. Mike is also survived by his niece Kim (Cary) Staib; and nephew Justin Morehouse. Also surviving are many cousins from the Gillotti and Janesky families.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield, CT. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury, CT.

Friends will be received from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.
