Nicoletta was born on December 26, 1942 in Bronx, NY. She was the eldest daughter of the late Alphonse and Marie Vitagliano. Nicoletta graduated from Evander Childs High School in the Bronx. And attended Marist College.
Nicoletta moved from the Bronx to Pawling,NY, to raise her children where she was very active in the community and with many organizations.
Nicoletta was a lover of people, and she shared that love by caring for others working through a plethora of organizations beginning at Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale, NY, then Fairfield Hills Hospital in Newtown, CT, followed by the Department of Social Services in Danbury, CT. In her retirement years, she and her husband, Robert, would cook meals to feed the homeless, and volunteered at shelters and soup kitchens. In addition, Nicoletta provided companionship for the elderly with the Visiting Angels up until mere months before her passing.
The joy of Nicoletta’s life was her faith and her family. She was actively involved in the Christian ministry of Grace & Vessels of Christ, Christian Community Outreach Ministries, and Living Worship Church.
In addition to her parents, Nicoletta was predeceased by her brother John Vitagliano, and sister Marie DiGiorgio.
In addition to her husband of 36 years, loved family left behind include her sister Joanne D’Orazio, her children: Richard (Andrew) Curtin, John (Elizabeth) Curtin, Janine (Terry) Goodsell, Patricia Curtin, Anne (Murugan) Pandian, and stepchildren Mary (Wayne) Browne Osso, Peter (Sue) Quattro, Joseph (Dawn) Quattro and Paul Quattro; her 16 grandchildren: Joshua (Katie) Goodsell, Christina Curtin (Tristan Mohabir), Nicole (Ben) Batista, Katherine (Lukas) Grill, Zachary Theberge, Kavi Pandian, Sean Curtin, Meena Pandian Shriya Pandian, Nathan (Alessandra) Browne, Nicholas (Esther) Browne, Rachel (Luke) Makai, Samantha (Bill) Harvey, Adam Quattro, Ruth Quattro, Seth Quattro, and her 7 great-grandchildren: Adelaide, Henry, Oliver, Sadie, Gareth, Ivan, May and one more on the way! She is also survived by many loved nieces and nephews.
There was always room for one more at the table at the Quattro’s home, where many gathered to celebrate, to commiserate, and to simply be together.
To honor her, a Celebration of Life service with lunch to follow will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 am at the First Assembly of God in Brookfield, CT.
