Raffaela A. Wirtig

Rae was born on January 31, 1942 in Bridgeport, CT, daughter of the late Carmine and Genevieve (Bellizzi) Parrella. Rae worked for over 20 years at ShopRite in Brookfield, CT. Where she was the shining star to everyone she came in contact with.

Besides being a caring mom and loving wife, she was everyone’s, friend, companion, support mom and rock to everyone she met. She was always ready to help anyone who crossed her path. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, laughter, love and her chocolate cake.

In addition to her parents, Rae was pre-deceased by her infant granddaughter, Christine Elizabeth Connelly, her siblings Louis Parrella, Marie Howell (Parrella) and Michael Parrella.

Rae leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 50 years Robert (Bob), her son Robert (Robbie) of Danbury and her daughter Melissa (Connelly-Urbonas) and her husband Michael Urbonas of New Haven, many nieces, nephews and good friends.

Friends and family are encouraged to call to Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St, Danbury, CT 06810, Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM for condolences. A memorial service will occur Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Green Funeral Home.
