Ricardo J. Amaral

Ricardo was born November 10, 1976 in Coimbra, Portugal, son of Avelino and Maria Julieta (Violante) Amaral and had been a lifetime Danbury area resident.

Ricardo or “Rich” was known for his big heart and contagious smile. He taught us that life should be simple. Family, friends and good times is what should be cherished. The most important part of Rich’s life was his daughter, Devinne. He had an unconditional love for her that far surpassed anything else. They enjoyed each other’s time, car rides, trips to the mall and New York City and the simple pleasures in life. Ricardo was employed at Winter Brothers at the time of his passing; a job that he was very proud to have. Prior to that, he worked with his brother at Exterior Design Landscaping in Danbury, CT.

Survivors include his daughter, Devinne Amaral of Danbury. His father and mother: Avelino and Maria Julieta (Violante) Amaral of Gouveia, Portugal. His brother; Peter Amaral and his wife, Kristin, of Bethel. His niece and nephews: Rae, Sam and Alex Amaral of Bethel. Many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10am on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Faith Church, 600 Danbury Rd, (Rt. 7), New Milford, CT with the Pastor Richard Perez officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. Friends will be received from 2pm - 5pm on Monday, May 29, 2017 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.
