Richard M. Hudson

Richard was born March 18, 1948 in Stamford, Connecticut. A son of the late Paul and Frances Hudson. He graduated Cheshire high school in 1966 and received his associates degree from the Waterbury State technical college in 1978 in mechanical engineering technology.

After high school Rick enlisted in the Connecticut Army National Guard and was honorably discharged in November 1975.

Rick spent most of his career as an engineer for the Kanthal corporation. In his retirement years, he kept himself busy helping coach the New Fairfield high school track program along with being active in the local Veteran's Associations. Always the avid golfer, he enjoyed his hobbies and his friends.

Rick was predeceased by his daughter, Victoria Alexis; and his wife of 40 years, Gloria Evelyn Hudson.

Rick is survived by his brother, Tom; and by his sons: Allen, Gary, Mark and David. He also was blessed with many grandchildren: Alexis, Kylee, Sam, Cooper, Henry, Hazel, and Vera.

Friends will be welcomed for a Memorial Gathering on Sunday, June 1 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Green Funeral Home 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.

Rick will be buried at Mountain View Cemetery in New Fairfield on Monday, June 2nd at 10:00am following a brief ceremony.
