It is with deep sorrow and regret that we announce the passing of Robert Kenny of 57 Possum Drive, New Fairfield CT. Rob, or Hueb, as he was known by all who loved him, is survived by his best friend and wife of 27 years, Maureen, his loving children Drew and Bridget, his sister Lorraine, his mother and father-in-law Jeannie and Edward Mullaney, brothers-in-law Edward and Claus, sister-in-law Maureen, nieces Ashley, Maeve, Colleen, and Erin, and his nephew Austin. He is also survived by countless others whose hearts and lives he touched over the years, including his cousins, aunts and uncles, along with all the Mullaney relatives too, including the 'out-laws'! As Rob passed with Maureen and his children at his side, he was greeted by his recently deceased mother Carmela Dantuono-Kenny and his father Andrew Kenny, who had been waiting a long time to see his beloved son again.
Rob was born on April 19, 1967, in Flushing Queens and attended St. Leo's school in Corona. He and his family moved to Yorktown Heights when he was 13, and that is where he started forming some of his best friendships ever. He went on to receive his BA from Marist College in Poughkeepsie NY. He later received his MBA from Western Connecticut State University. Rob worked for the last 15 years at RMI Direct Marketing Inc, in Danbury, CT. His coworkers loved and respected him, and he did the same. His bosses were always supportive of him, especially during his struggles.
Rob faced lupus with tenacity and strength and is an example to us all of how to live life to the fullest and love with all your heart. He lived his life with gratitude and joy, with a glass that was always half full, never half empty (preferably with a good, cold beer or Moscow Mule!).
Rob will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family and his loyalty to his extended family and friends, and of course, to his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Mets, in that order. He loved his "Cold Old Crew from Yorktown" and his Sunday Funday partners in crime, both of which will never be the same without him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022, at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield. The interment will be private.
Friends will be received from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022, at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.
