Robert K. Lynch

Robert was born June 3, 1931 in Staten Island, NY, the son of the late John and Margaret (Kielty) Lynch. Raised and educated in Staten Island, Robert was a graduate of Pace University, receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

Robert was formerly employed as controller for Reader’s Digest, and Vice President and Controller of the Cluett-Peabody Apparel Co. of New York. At the time of his retirement, he was president of the Spring City Knitting Co.

Robert was an adjunct member of the faculty at Pace University, where he taught accounting. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed listening to classical music.

Robert is survived by his children: Kathleen Kean and her husband Dan of Sherman, Robert Lynch and his wife Michele of Berwyn, PA, and John Lynch and his wife Lynn of Newington, six grandchildren: David Kean and his wife Stacey, Thomas Kean, Robert Lynch, Daniel Lynch, Joseph Lynch and Christopher Lynch. Robert is also survived by his former second spouse, Elizabeth Lynch of Broomall, PA.

There are no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Saturday March 23rd at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Norwalk.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are requested to be made to Boys Town, 200 Flanagan Boulevard P.O. Box 8000, Boys Town, NE 68010 or to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
