

Roger was born in Brussels, Belgium, son of the late Oscar and Virginia Delsin. He attended schools in Brussels before immigrating to the United States and finishing his education in Jamaica, Queens, New York.
In his youth upon immigrating to the United States from Belgium, Roger proudly served in the United States Army.
Roger had worked with his late wife Sharon in their former business Continental Beauty Salon and then went on to spend more than 30 years as a Deputy Sherriff and Connecticut State Marshal in the Danbury Superior Court System, until his retirement. Roger also served as a Councilman on the Common Council of the City of Danbury and on the Richter Park Authority.
Roger was a fixture in the community having lived and worked in Danbury for more than a half century. He enjoyed serving the community, meeting new people and was very proud of the numerous friendships he was fortunate to have had over the years.
Roger is survived by his sons: Peter Delsin of Danbury and Rod Delsin, his wife, Melinda, and 3 grandchildren, Lindsay, Courtney and Jessica all from Cumming, GA.
Family and friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a prayer service to be held at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
