

Sharron Ann (Gay) Simao, passed away April 8, 2016, at her home in Danbury with her daughter Traci at her bedside. Sharron was born in Danbury, to the late Francis Gay, Sr and Anna (Kenney Gay) Coffey. Sharron was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter and sister who has lived in this town for most of her life. She was very involved in the Danbury pop warner football team the Vikings, serving on the board for many seasons. Sharron enjoyed traveling and went on many road trips with her family members, (never flying!). A few of her favorite trips were to Atlantic City to play the slots. She was an avid reader, enjoyed bowling and was a collector of all things Native American Indian. Some of her favorite past times were old movies and TV shows, (Andy Griffith and Little House on the Prairie). She is survived by her husband John Simao, her daughters Traci Simao, Shannon Sciortino (Joe), and her son Sean Scott (Michelle). She is also survived by the brightest lights in her life her grandchildren, Joseph Nicholas, Bethany Hope and Ian Rudy. She is now the guardian angel to her siblings Doug Kenney (Linda), Gary Gay, Darlene Brill, Debbie Hyde (Rocky), Audrey Coffey (Neal) and Melissa Coffey. She was loved and treasured by her multiple nephews and nieces as well as great nephews and nieces, she will forever be their Aunt Sharshe.
Family and friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a service to be held at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m.
