Susie Mae Millard

Susie was born July 20, 1934 in Danbury the daughter of the late Leonard and Susan (Bishop) Millard. She had attended Danbury schools and had been a New Milford resident since the late 1950’s with her longtime companion Thomas Giroux. Susie had been employed by several area nursing facilities during her working life.

Susie is survived by her niece and nephew, Nancy Stevenson and Larry Stevenson both of Danbury, along with several other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her four sisters in law : Barbara Millard (Hank) and Florence Duckworth (Joe) both of Danbury, Marion Millard (Roy) and Katie (William) Millard, both of Sandy Hook. She was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Williams, 11 brothers and two sisters, and her precious cat “Miss Minnie”. A special thank you is extended to Susie’s nurse Linda Anderson, and home health aides Peggy and Madeline for the excellent care provided to Susie.

A memorial service will take place on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Green Funeral Home 57 Main Street Danbury. Burial will follow in the Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
