What can I say about Theresa, she hired me at Service Merchandise, and that how my story started, I just was in Marsall's and saw Theresa's Husband, I did not know she passed, it hit me, he said Beth, yes in December, wish I would of known, she was such an amazing person and friend and a hard worker, I won't go on and on, but I am still in shock, the last time I saw her was bringing my pet to Plumtree Animal and we were talking, she looked good, I enjoy all the times when I saw her, gave her a hug.  Theresa I can say, it was an honor to know you.  I cried and you would say, stop, I felt sad, she would say smile., well,  you earned your wings, fly high and watch over all of us, your husband is an amazing person, if you read this, I just found out.  But all I remember you calling me a Love Child that I wore long skirts and my hair hanging everywhere, will be missed, I pray for your family and pets, they were so lucky to have you.  Until then, you are home with God.  God Bless Your Husband, Amen Lord.  Service Merchandise was a family and brought us all together, Love Always.  <3

Teresa ( Tree ) was my cousin. I usually hung with her sister Patricia as children. Later in life we did get together at almost every family event. 
A couple years ago I went to New Hampshire from AZ to my sisters camp for my 60th birthday. Tree drove all the way from Connecticut. She said she wouldn't miss it. I had the best birthday ever. We all went to bingo and out for ice cream.
I had cancer in 2010 and she was a world of strength for me.
She had a glow about her that you know she was living a great life. Bart would support her in every endeavor. She left so many friends behind and I am sure she will never be forgotten. I sure will never forget all the great times we had.

I will always remember her, we worked at Kohl's and she was so kind and joyful. 

I am in shock.  My last time seeing Teresa was in Danbury Hospital a few days after her procedure and didn’t realize she was so sick.   She will be missed.  My deepest condolences to the family.

Teresa was a true original, one of a kind... and kindness knew no boundaries when it came to her generosity. She always looked to help those in need. My husband was blessed to have her as a part time paralegal and I best friends for many years since our days at SMC. I’ll cherish her humor, whit and smile forever. RIP sweetheart.
She helped to make all those that knew her better.

Memories...Thanks Bart for sharing your “Angel” with us.  Teresa was my friend through thick and thin for many years.  OH, how i miss her.  We talked all the time and she kept me up to date on home (Bethel) issues.  (I now live in NC)
Happy Birthday, girlfriend.  On Epiphany when you are being given to God.  He needed you for a new project.  We all learned so much from you.  You kept me strong and grounded.  I was so blessed to have you as my friend.  I celebrate you and am at peace because i know you are, now!  By blessings to Bart.  You are strong.  Stay connected.  Teresa would have it no other way.

I am devastated by this news. I had no idea! Bart I'm so sorry. Teresa was so bright and shining personality was like no other. I worked with her at Lazy Boy in Newtown and we stayed friends since then.. I can't believe you're gone my friend...rest easy TT... I will miss you my friend....💔


I had the honor and pleasure of working with Teresa as a Red Cross Volunteer since 2012.  She was a dedicated humanitarian with a special love for humans as well as  animals.   
I remember fondly how kind and committed she was whether working as a Shelter Supervisor at our Bethel Shelter, installing smoke alarms on our Home Fire Campaign events or most recently participating in our Shelter Simulation at the Danbury War Memorial in September 2019. 
She will be fondly remembered and missed by her Red Cross Colleagues.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Teresa at The National Organization for Rare Disorders.  Can’t remember the year Teresa started there, but during those years it was a good time working together.  Helping patients and then off to the love of animals , it made me realize what a beautiful and kind  person she was.   I thought of her often and the fun times that we shared going out for lunch and dinners or just meeting up at a friends house on occasion.  
My sympathy goes out to Bart, her husband. They were truly a wonderful couple.

I first met Teresa through Bethel CERT. It was a joy to work with her, Bart. What a charming and talented woman. She had such a positive, upbeat personality and was always willing to go the extra mile to make sure our team was trained, prepared and the best it could be. She will be greatly missed by all of us who volunteered alongside her, Bart. I know Teresa will be watching over you, and all of us, from heaven. It was such a privilege to know her. Our prayers are with you at this difficult time.

We mostly remember Teresa from your trip to Las Vegas and Phoenix about 15 years ago and our family remembers your visit well.

I met Mrs Fogel back in 1993 when I started working at Service Merchandise. She was a kind, hard working and dedicated manager. We lost touch for many years, but got reacquainted through Facebook and the Service Merchandise Unit 820 page. It was then that I found out she had a pet sitting/dog walking business, and she came over to meet our boy Merlin. The love and trust Merlin had for "Auntie T" was immediate and she took care of him twice a week for 4 years. Auntie T, you are missed. We love you and you will be forever in our hearts guiding the way to be better people because of your kindness and compassion. 

Bart we are so sorry for your loss. We are all here for you, and Auntie T is watching over you! ❤

I met Teresa when we were 7. We were best friends until age 12. We had the best times together, times that shaped who we would become. We drifted apart but at 38, we met again and have been friends ever since. In recent years, we would meet in New York in October, and were becoming close buddies again. I am so grateful I saw her in October. I am going to miss Teresa so much,  but I am happy she is with her loved ones in heaven.  Bart, I am very sorry your sweetheart is gone, but She is looking over you,  I know she is.

Teressa made the world a better place with her many acts of kindness and charity works for friends, neighbors and strangers both human and non human alike. She was always there offering a hand to our family over these many years. Bart, so sorry for your loss. She was a lovely woman and a joy to have as a neighbor and friendly face on the street. Our street will not be the same without her. We are so, so sorry to hear of her passing.

We have so many it's hard to pick one.  All of the birthday parties for the girls, family get togethers, and just being neighbors for 8 years.  I have missed you since we moved and now can not even reach out to you. I know you are with the lord because of of the person that you were. Bart we are so sorry for your loss. We are so very sad to see our wonderful double cousin leave us. Teresa was truly a very special person and we were very fortunate to have been able to enjoy some very happy times with her recently.   When we visited Teresa in the hospital we were touched by all the memories her many friends shared with us and very proud of all that Teresa has accomplished to help others though her numerous volunteer  efforts in her community.  She was most definitely a person  who did much to leave the world a better place.  May her heavenly reward be great!
