

Thomas Francis Cassidy, age 82 of Danbury, died November 3, 2013 at Danbury Hospital. He was born on July 12, 1931 in Stamford, CT, the son of Thomas Cassidy Sr. and Margaret Jennings. He is predeceased by his wife, Eleanor Miguel Cassidy, his parents and siblings, William, David, Jack, and Kathleen. He was also the beloved son-in-law of Joseph and Maria Miguel, their children and spouses, and three generations of nephews and nieces.
Tom was a member of St. Peter Church. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1954 to 1958. Tom loved to travel with his wife and they visited just about every country in Europe and every state; their favorite place was Hawaii. Tom was one of those people who never met a stranger. He was very outgoing, thought everyone was his friend, made people laugh, and loved his family, all of whom will miss him very much.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter Church, on Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. Friends and family may gather at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, on Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
