Antonio M. "Tony" Pacheco

Antonio M. “Tony” Pacheco, 58, of South Dartmouth, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in the Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT. He was the husband of Maria “Connie” (Marmelo) Pacheco. They had been married for 38 years.

Born in Furnas, St. Michael, Azores, a son of Maria (Fernanda) Costa of Tolland, CT and the late Antonio Furtado Pacheco, he had resided in Dartmouth for 31 years.

Tony was a self-employed Mason and Contractor for many years and was also a franchisee of Dunkin Donuts.

He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family and friends. Tony was known and loved for his simplicity, kindness and hardworking lifestyle.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother is a son, Derek Pacheco and his wife Nicole of Coventry, CT; a daughter, Tracy Neves and her husband Mario of Coventry, CT; a brother, Duarte Pacheco and his wife Rebecca of Marlboro, CT; a sister, Ana Medeiros and her husband Mario of Tolland, CT; six grandchildren, Shaelyn, Cierra, Ethan and Jacob Pacheco, Landon and Gabriella Neves; three nieces, Shanda Medeiros, Anabella Pacheco and Alexis Pacheco; and one nephew, Kyle Medeiros.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 9am in St. Julie Billiart Church, 494 Slocum Rd., Dartmouth. Visiting hours Friday 4-8PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford.
