Arthur Donald Croft

CROFT, Arthur Donald, 86, of Dartmouth passed away November 2, 2016 in the Camphill Veterans Memorial Building, Halifax. Born in Milton, he was a son of the late Donald and Ethel (Wile) Croft. Arthur was employed with The Flower Shop Ltd., Halifax for 27 years, enjoyed hunting, fishing, canoeing and hiking in the outdoors. He was a great listener and a friend to many. Surviving are his wife of 53 years Muriel (Carmichael), daughter, Marilyn (Bill) Parsons, son Paul (Betty), sisters, Greta Hogan, Dorothy (Havelock) Richards, half sister Mary Ellen Brady, brother Murray (Lillian), half brothers, George (Brenda) Brady, Lowell (Colleen) Brady, grandchildren, Samantha, Jessica , Billy Parsons, Matthew, Sophia Croft. He was predeceased by a sister Florence Withrow. No visiting by request, a funeral service will be held 1pm Saturday November 5, 2016 in Stevens Road Baptist Church Dartmouth, Rev Christopher Drew officiating, reception to follow. Burial will be 1pm Monday November 7, 2016 in Margaree Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Stevens Road Baptist Church Memorial Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
