Colleen Rita Beazley

Beazley, Colleen Rita- With deep sadness we announce Colleen’s passing at age 53 on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at home with her loving family by her side after a brief illness. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Dolores (Kilgar) Mintern and the late Russell Mintern. She was a graduate of Graham Creighton High School and also a graduate of the Halifax Business School. She was previously employed at Ocean View Manor Nursing Home and Leo J. Beazley Ltd. Colleen’s greatest passions were spending time with family, boating adventures and celebrating with her friends. She is survived by her son Luke Beazley, mother Dolores (Dolly) Mintern, brother David (Jasinta) Mintern, sisters Cindy (Steven) Crane, Kelly (Lee) Young, all of Eastern Passage and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lee Beazley, father Russell Mintern, brother John Mintern and father and mother-in-law Leo. J. “Buddy” and Phyllis Beazley. The family will receive visitors at A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland St., Dartmouth on Wednesday, November 6 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Cow Bay Road, Eastern Passage at 11 A.M. on Thursday, November 7, 2013.
